Don't take Avandia for diabetes

Avandia is a non subsidized diabetic medication. That means it is only taken by a few hundred NZ'ers. This is good news as it increases your risk for heart attacks. For the full story see Bad Science blog who writes about the safety debacle and how it shouldn't be available to consume.

This blog focuses is the depository of David's writing that would otherwise be lost. So mostly his answers on facebook, that he gives in closed garden groups. (Tree Crops and NZ Fruit and Nut growers)
If you go back further enough, you will find it was once his nutrition blog. David entered growing trees, through a nutrition perspective (and a love for gardening). As he wanted to grow nutritious food.

The Dyslexic Disclaimer
I am an recovered dyslexic, and have found Ron Davis work very helpful. However proof reading will never be my strong point. Any paid work goes through a number of proofing stages, including put aside, reading later and most importantly passing by Tiffany my wonderful wife who is excellent at proofing.
I have attempted to overcome this dyslexia in the blog, but writing the blog as a draft and the next day proofing it before posting. However not all errors will be picked up. Trust that you will have the grace to overlook any minor errors.
